My NT guidebook reliably informed me that the Whipsnade Tree Cathedral was not far away from Dunstable Downs.

Without the guidebook I would never have discovered this little gem, which sits tucked away at the end of a residential lane. It is literally a 'cathedral' formed from the planting of trees, shrubs and plants. It takes the form of a medieval cathedral with towers, chapels and naves. It was created by Edmund Blyth, who served in WW1, as a place of memorial to those who fell during the Great War.
