The house at Polesden Lacey, near Dorking, has one of the most interesting histories of all the NT properties I have visited so far. Having recently watched the King's Speech, I was interested in this period in history, and Polesden was the honeymoon destination for King George VI and the Queen Mother. There was a fascinating exhibition of honeymoon artefacts when we visited.
